72 hour $150 Off Flash Sale on the Little Guy Espresso Maker, Serious Savings for a Popular Coffee Maker.

From the website, Full video online:
The Little Guy Espresso Maker isn’t just a mid-century masterpiece meant to sit on a shelf, it’s an awarded producer of stellar pro-level shots and powerful milk steaming. With a 24g portafilter, a commercial-grade milk steaming wand, and the ability to yield 60ml of rich, velvety espresso, this is a espresso maker to fall in love with.

With this surprisingly powerful brewer, you can pull up to 60 ml of balanced espresso that rivals that of commercial espresso machines. Though the pressure maximum is just over 3 bars, this brewer maximizes that pressure to produce espresso that even pros are impressed with.

“This is a serious bit of gear. The espresso shots are excellent and there’s loads of steam pressure for texturing milk.”

— Scottie Callaghan, the World Latte Art Champion in 2006

Basic The Little Guy Instructions:

Fill the boiler with water and turn up the heat
Add 24g of espresso grounds to the portafilter and attach
After 8 minutes, the water will boil and the espresso will extract
When the shot’s complete, clean the portafilter and enjoy

If you can deal with 15g shots, skip this and get a nanopresso with barista kit and a cheap milk frother. Will be sub $200 and it'll still taste good. Plus a bit more portable.

I really wanted one of these for ages until I realized that it was really only for the cool factor.

      Also on Sale here: https://alternativebrewing.com.au/product/wacaco-nanopresso/

      Glad you are loving it!

      • Nice prices. With a frother you could probably get it all around $150 which makes it an even better alternative.

        • Just bought the Delter press last week, Now I am wondering do I need a nanopresso for my espresso needs. Pushing that Nespresso machine out the door!

          • +1

@Fergy1987: How do you find the Delter? Seems interesting but not sure I should replace my Aeropress/Prismo combo (really only gets used for camping/travel duties)

            • @beefsandwich: Im pretty new to the whole coffee game, so I'm not expert but it seems pretty good so far. I've only made 2 brews, the first was weak but that was due to me putting too much pressure on it thinking it was like an Aeropress so it extracted way too quickly. Did one this morning at a slower rate with just a little pressure from my fingers and it made a way better coffee.

The coffee is very clean through it with no residue. I have just been using Aldi beans as I didnt want to spend a bunch straight up just in case I wasnt into it, but all in all, its going good.

I would like a bit more info from Delter on it though. There are so many different ways to brew etc with the Aeropress, so would be interesting to see things like, how to use the Delter to make stronger coffee to top with milk for a latte or something. Just more info on brewing times and the like.

          • @Fergy1987: They do produce different cups of coffee, really down to your personal preference. If you prefer a stronger shot of coffee then the nanopresso is ideal, if you prefer a smoother, long black style, then stick with the delter!

            Hope you are enjoying it!

      • Excellent price for the Nanopresso

Well damn, that guy from 13 years ago sure seemed to like it, so why not right?

    • hahaha the best comment.

  • probably just the gross personality of me, but this looks like a stacked pile of poo XDDD

  • +1

The coffee the little guy makes is as good as my Silvia Coffee machine, its great if you like milky coffees, its my camping solution,

Only thing is if you want multiple coffees its a pressure system so you cannot remove the group head without cooling the unit and then you have to re fill and wait another 8 mins between brews,

But yes there are many cheaper alternatives out there but his makes a good cuppa.

    • +1

This was a downfall I had read about. Thus why I pushed the nanopresso above as you can shoot out multiple coffees pretty quickly if you have some cold water to cool the basket with quickly. The problem you have camping is always with the milk, this is where TLG excels.

Wow who the hell would get one of these over a la pavoni. You would have to be an idiot

    • +1

Probably people with half the money of what of a La Pavoni costs.

      • then get something that puts real pressure through the puck? And you can import a pav for 1.5x

        • Speaking to a local coffee roaster recently, they did some blind tests at different pressure settings. Turns out the 4 bar shots were some of the best espressos judged. Don't be too harsh on the pressure. I mean the Nanopresso does 20+? or something ridiculous, but you don't taste it. In theory that should ruin the shot, but it doesn't. The Handpresso does 16 bar or so and that is also a great pour.

          • @beatsntoons: this can only do 1.2(mby a few points more right?) a pav is completely controllable its a manual unsprung lever

    • I got a ponte vecchio for less than 1.5k. quality isnt the best but dual group and hard to (profanity) up a shot. spent $500 in repairs over 7 years.

  • how about Bellman CX25P? Much cheaper, any comparasion?

Looks very much like an Atomic coffee machine.

    • +1

The original Atomic copyright has finished I believe. This is now a replica. Secondhand Atomics can still fetch up to $350 +
