Great news for turtle lovers. Can it be used on turtoises too?

  • How is turtle wax as a brand? It comes across as a good value but not necessarily premium products

    • Not premium like Bowden's or Meguiar's, but works well and is reasonably priced.
I like their spray wax and wax paste.

      I would recommend them.

      • All wax work quiet well. Not sure why people pays multiple times the amount for "premium" stuff.

Bought a tin of SCA polish, and a tin of SCA wax paste during their 40% sale.

Worked well… smooth and well polished finish. Re-apply every 6 months.

Can't see a $2 bucket. Do you mean this $2.39 one?

Anyways, $2/$2.39 is not really a good deal for an ~9½ plastic bucket. Bunnings have them for $0.96

I think it might be $2 with a sponge

      • Can't find any mention of a bucket/sponge deal either on SCA's website or here on OzB.

        Do you have a link?

      • It's not

It's a good deal so you can pick up from the same store instead of wasting more than an extra $1.43 in fuel to go get it from bunnings

It's not a good deal as:

        1. Not every SCA is more than $1.43 in fuel out of the way of the round trip home/work-SCA-home/work. (In fact, given that my closest four SCAs are well within that extra fuel cost figure, I would say that a lot/most SCA stores are located close to a Bunnings store.)
        2. Even if the SCA store is too far from a Bunnings, it would require you having no suitable containers at home/work that you could use temporarily, and, between the time you buy the car wash and you actually end up using it, not going to a Bunnings store and not passing close enough to any Bunnings store on any trip such that a diversion costs less than $1.43 in fuel.

So yes, there would probably be one or two, or so, people out there for whom it would make sense to pick up a bucket at SCA, but for the vast majority, especially OzBargainers, it's very much not a good deal.
