Hey guys, long time follower first time poster.
I want a Smartphone but it's probably going to be another couple of months before I get one. I see all these great apps for free. It it possible to 'buy' them without a phone? I'm normally excellent at everything technological but with no close family with a smart phone, hence I have no experience here. Can I download a phone Emulator to install them to?

download itunes
set an account up
and "buy" those cheap or free games and download them on ur comp
u can then sync them to ur phone once ya get it
With an iPhone, you should be able to grab the apps using iTunes, then sync later.
Not that I am an expert - iTunes scares the hell out of me, and one of the WORST things about an iPhone.
There are heaps of Android emulators out there. www.youwave.com is one.
iPhone -you can run them without an apple device (and a laptop won't do). But you can buy them with an itunes account regardless of whether you have a phone/ipod or not.
With iPhone, you can run them.
There are emulators but I'm unsure if they can run the Market app or the Amazon App.
Be aware that you need an American Google Account, Postal Address and Credit Card to get the free Amazon apps.
