BMC Branded CPAP and Online Stores

Looking at buying a BMC CPAP Machine Luna iQ Automatic inc Humidifier from either cpapsales.com.au ($649)or cpapsleep.com.au ($645). Does anyone have any experience with the brand/model or either store? They are less than half the price of the the more well known brands. My son (adult) just bought a ResMed AirSense 10 locally for $2000 after talking them down from $2500.

  • I'm new to CPAP and am unable to comment on the BMC but I got my Airsense 10 Autoset + 4G + 5Y warranty & mask for $1650 local with $100 cashback. So have a shop around and negotiate in person is how I got it.

Have a look at international vendors such as https://www.sistemmacpap.com/

    • I live in a regional city with only 2 local CPAP vendors. There isn't much competition except for online purchases and the site you have referred me to is in the US (with all the currency conversion issues). I appreciate that they are cheaper in the US however I prefer to buy in-country to ensure greater access to warranty services. I guess the point could be made that risk is worth the savings however the few reviews I have found on the BMC brand have been positive and the price-point is good.

I'm just looking for some confirmation as to the quality of the product and the online stores reputations.

  • Another local (australian) vendor is

    https://www.nswcpap.com.au/collections/all-cpap-machines

In our case we visited them, but if you know what machine you want then they do ship and prices seem pretty good. (The visit will helpful wasnt really essential which we discovered after the visit. It showed how to use etc, but online help does much of the same)

No input on the BMC machine

We got the same as your sons unit for $1500 including mask after rebate. They gave two masks to trial and sent out selected mask and shipping bag to return trial masks.

BTW when we purchased this for a relative, they have private health insurance which covered 70% of the cost. Just needed a Dr's letter authorising need.

    • We have health insurance that pays 85% up to $2000 however you still have to buy machine first to get the rebate. I can't pay $1500 (or $2000 locally with no mask)up front and while the locals will give you an invoice stating paid so you can claim your 85% first you have to pay local prices. Both my son and I are on our second machines so we are old hands at the game however this time around I was looking to beat the system a bit by buying a machine I can actually afford providing it works OK. I haven't found many reviews and while they are all positive it's hard to know if they are unbiased.
