Who do i contact? Amazon directly or the seller?

Is it sold by AmazonAU or third party?
If it is with Amazon, they provide tracking and you may be able to follow up with the carrier directly. It's more efficient if you can actually do that but it's not always an option.
Ive had this happen many times, it means they left it outside your property unattended.
I’ve found the amazon tracker pretty inaccurate. It will tell you the carrier and the tracking number.
I’d probably start with amazon support. Then contact the carrier.
I’ve had AusPost tell me my item was “delivered” when it wasn’t. Upon contacting them it was at the post office the next day. This has happened a couple of times at COB time (around 5/5:30).
I've had AusPost mark packages as delivered if they've left a card behind for pickup from postoffice, but if you just go onto the amazon help section and ask them there they'll help I've found that the chat function leads pretty quickly to results
I had 2 deliveries delivered to the wrong house on the same street. It was delivered to me personally by the other house occupants and the tracking shown items has been delivered. Perhaps your neighbour might turnup and deliver to you. Good luck!
If you have an issue with your order, you contact people who sold you the product, managed/handled your order including postie or provided or the platform for your order. This goes with any business btw. Now you know what to do next time.
I often get an order delivered message or the tracking says it's delivered the day before it arrives. Not on an Amazon order so far. Freaked me out first two times it happened. Now I chill till the next day and it has always arrived then so no need to chase up.
I had this happen a few months ago at my workplace. I checked with the reception at my office, the office next door and upstairs and no sign of it. I checked with Amazon and mysteriously within 2 hours my item was delivered. I'm fairly sure that delivery wasn't attempted in the first place, and some delivery person/service was marking it as delivered when it wasn't to meet some service level or something.
