Damn I miss Germany…the women are lovely.
We did this tour in Berlin, and it was freakin amazing. Guide was extremely knowledgeable, A Storyline of Berlin, URBAN ADVENTURES LIMITED.
We did a similar one, highly recommend a bike tour if the weather is good. We went on the Fat Tire tour i believe.
Good ol German weather, middle of April and the day of our 4 hour walking tour it was 8 degrees with 30km/h wind and 4 degrees wind chill. Good times.
Haha it was a bit chilly for ours too, lucky the place provided gloves. Had a sprinkle of rain but that's traveling I guess.
@crashloaded: I don't mind the cold and I had a good jacket on, so I was fine. Now my friends I was with, the girls bought this pretty "looks" jackets that looked so pretty, but were useless in the cold, they suffered. I told them to pack properly.
The next year I went back to Germany, into Munich. It was a bit nippy the day we flew in but about 8 degrees, but that night it snowed. In the city it was just slurry and crap so it was crap, but luckily that day we were going on a castles tour, and it snowed much better out of the city. So we got to see the castles blanketed in snow. BEST.DAY.EVER!
Drink beer. Eat schnitzel.
and pork knuckle
Go to museum island.
I think trying to only do free stuff in a city on the other side of the world is a huge waste of time - some things are worth paying for. I'm presuming you've paid for flights and accommodation which is the biggest part of the budget.
Go get denied entry at Berghain.
Haha
Vabali Spa.
Bratislava.
That's in Slovakia. It's 700kms away!
I love that movie! Haven't seen it in ages.
Got the t shirt.
@Cartman2530: I just wished someone here would say, "Bratislava, nowhere near Berlin".
@[Deactivated]: lol
"Is there a train coming soon? Yes, they are building it now"
@Cartman2530: Mi Scusi Mi Scusi :) :)
find all the bears in the city
Nazi architecture: the Olympic Stadium, the Tempelhof Airport, government buildings on Wilhelmstrasse
Bunkers: there is an association called Berliner Unterwelten and they do underground tours to air-raid shelters and bunkers
Many other Third Reich sites are covered in the Insider Tours Third Reich Tour, and I highly recommend you'd take it, especially (but not only) if Nigel or Nadav are the guides.
There are several sites linked to the Nazi oppression system and to the Holocaust.
