Edit: some users are pointing to the fact that new version of Sony headphones are coming and we can find these headset for cheaper some place else as well.
Just wanted to let you all know :)
But will probably never see them at that price again, that specific Aldi was selling them cheap because they had to close down for renovations for a month and they put in those headphones as loss leaders to attract people to the shop. I got one since I lived close by, but definitely don't see them making a profit when sold at $79 dollars.
They do regularly go down to $150 when on sale at Amazon.

I've got a pair. Sounds pretty good, but the NC is not very good. My parrot Ziks are better.
Agree. NC is not good but sound quality is excellent for the price. Supports aptX HD and is a nice fit, at least for my noggin.
If you don't mind waiting these have been around the $130 mark either through Amazon or on the Sony eBay Store.
For $130 it's a fantastic buy.
$199 is not cheap for a pair of BT headsets.
If you are willing to spend this much already, better spend that little bit more to get the flagship Sony XM3 or Bose QC35 (or 700) for $300+.
Or buy a cheaper pair or BT headphones from other brands.
$199 is at an awkward spot, wont get you the best bang for buck.
If you don't care about NC, then it's a waste to spend more to get the XM3
For anyone who isnt aware, sony are about to release XB900N shortly which is bound to be cheaper than the WH-1000XM3's which are selling round about the $300 mark.
Early reviews for this new model seem promising for the price point which seems to be a direct successor to what OP has posted.
So these ones might go down on price over the next few days to clear the stock.
TGG regularly have 10% off sales. If you can get these during one of those sales where they've already marked down the price (like the deal I posted for these headphones last year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/398632) you'll save another ~$20. Couple that with cash back and you'll bring the cost down further.
I've got a pair and whilst they do the job, they aren't the most comfortable compared to my old Bose ones.
I'm holding out for AirPods 3 and their noise-cancelling capability.
You can pick these up 3 or 4 times a year with Aldi… They come down to $130
They're $198 directly from Sony - so would be cheaper for those that have Amex statement offer and have other purchases to make as well
