    I've used both (well my cat has). With this type, the urine goes to the bottom and is absorbed by the granules. The poo stays on top and you scoop it up. Eventually it won't be able to absorb the urine and it will rise to the top.
    Whereas with clumping litter you just scoop it all up.

      It also smells a lot less and doesn’t superglue itself to the bottom of the tray.

    Works best if you use one of the sieve type litter boxes. The pellets turn to sawdust and can be sifted down to the base, leaving the whole pellets and poo on top. Super easy to tip out the sawdust without throwing out whole pellets.
