Need HD Webcam for Laptop

Hi,

Looking for a cheapest webcam for my laptop. Laptop inbuilt webcam is shit VGA 2.0.
Need external webcam with atleast HD video recording quality with lowest price.
Found "Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000", but not getting reasonable price for this. Lowest i am able to find is $39. Please help me to crack this even for lower price or suggest me alternative good webcam with less price tag may be below $25 :\

      Yes can wait for a week or so if price is shocking but if the price difference is hardly $2-3 then wait is not worth, in past i ordered some eBay product from china and they delivered within 12 days.

          Seriously? Surely the default windows drivers would let it work, just maybe without extra/special features. Otherwise that's terrible design/programming.

    I don't think it's worth cutting corners here. Webcams are cheap second hand. Internally they are not all the same and cheap unbranded ones will have worse drivers, worse USB specs or quite potentially worse recording performance or quality. The only two real options are Logitech and Microsoft and if you use it 3 times the money difference is probably worth it.

    If you want to go cheap/free, maybe look for way to use your smartphone as a webcam.

      To be honest, I tried extremely hard to use my smartphone as a webcam, but all methods failed. The browser cannot able to recognize the smartphone front camera.
