closing down sale, i bought my fishing rod for $60 was $90 at sydney george st, opposit QVB, near hilton hotel. avg is 30%off the marked price, not sure when they will closing. Enjoy!!

A fishing shop in the cbd hmmm, no wonder it went belly up
It is actually not going belly up… new owner of the building walked in on first day & increased rent a ridiculous percentage. They have another store at Manly and are also focusing on their online sales.
There is still a few more weeks before closing late June early July so prices should only get better.
Must have had a poor lease agreement then.

Tight bottom,no poor lease agreement at all,the shop has been there for 6years and the rent has just increased a fair bit so its been decided to move on out of Mick simmons and keep the original store at manly vale that has been there for 12 years now.
Mikinoz,the shop has done very well but its only till recently where alot of people are buying online from Australia and the World,the store has alot of stock,more than you can poke a stick at,stock is going quickly

To clarify guys so you don't look like a headless chook like me. It's actually inside Mick Simmons and upstairs. I was standing outside at the section looking at the closing down signs. If you know your fishing stuff including brands etc. then it's pretty cheap. Got a couple of Shimano hats for $20 less 30%, spanyo lures and gainakatsu hooks (all tackle was 20% off).
