It is a budget brand, but a half decent one. I personally would prefer Fujitsu over it, and Mitsubishi is better again, but obviously more expensive.
You can do a lot worse than Kelvinator - think cheap Chinese junk non-inverter units.
Kelvinator will do the job, reasonably efficiently.
I have a Fujitsu 2.5kw in my office and Mitsubishi 3.5kw in bedroom. The outdoor compressor noise and vibration from the fujitsu is significantly higher than the Mitsubishi. I was also told by my installer that Kelvinator is a good budget brand, better than the Chinese brands.
Any idea where and how much for the installation in Sydney South area?
Installation usually starts at around $650 - $700 for a back to back install.
Can't recommend anybody in the Sydney area sorry.
Noob question, but is Kelvinator is a reliable brand? I know alot of people talk up Fujitsu…
