This was posted previously but with a paid amp set that expired. I figure it is worth posting again as the software itself is always available for free and I believe it offers more (amps/cabs/mics) than the ios CS version (correct me if i'm wrong?). Amplitube gives you nice guitar amp and effects modelling for PC & Mac.
From the IK multimedia site:
'The AmpliTube Custom Shop desktop app is free, and contains 24 pieces of gear to start. When you download and register/authorize the software, you'll get a fully functioning "standalone" app with a built-in 2-track recorder, plus you get the plug-in version for your favorite DAW. No matter what your computing platform (Mac/Win), you're covered.'
'FREE version of AmpliTube 4 with 24 models including a digital chromatic tuner, 9 stomps, 4 amps, 5 cabs, 3 mics, 2 rack effects'
Here's a nice demo of the (full version) software: https://youtu.be/65gYubeecac
With the right cable or adaptor and this audio driver http://www.asio4all.org/index.html (PC users), you can plug into your desktop or laptop and start playing straight away (no extra hardware required).
Something like this will get you connected from your guitar lead: https://www.storedj.com.au/hosa-gmp-112-1-4-trs-f-to-3-5mm-t…
For best results you'll need an audio interface.
