Do people consider buying used, but working, PSUs?

I purchased an iTX case for my iTX computer and the case states it fits an ATX PSU, however things are very tight and reduces airflow.

If I buy a shorter fully modular PSU I'm left with this perfectly fine PSU, is it worth selling?

-EDIT-
What would you sell it for?

  • add airholes to the case

Corsair PSU's have pretty long warranties (like 5 years) and some of their higher end ones even longer.
I guess some people might be okay with buying second hand units if you tell them how long ago they were purchased and if they come with receipts

  • Lol give ya $10 shipped 😂

    • Erm…

      • Was a joke, didnt think you could ship for $10 :that said apparently dominos will bring me pizza for $3 extra with the 60% off code, so who knows lol.

I've sold several used PSUs over the years as I typically build a new PC while the old one is still working then part it out later. People will buy them if they're a known brand but don't expect to get the new price for a used one.

  • at the right price , of course.

bargain hunters will bite if the price is too good to resist

I'd be fine with a second hand, good quality PSU. A good PSU with all the voltage and current protections will be fine. But depends on the brand, line, and age of it.

When did you buy it? If it's only a couple years old with receipts and original packaging, you'd probably find takers for at least $60-ish off Gumtree/etc? (usual - cash in hand, etc).

Corsair is a pretty good brand, if you include a receipt, and its about 12 months old, you will probably be able to get 50% of retail for it, however bronze is not a very popular 2nd hand buy, people want at least gold+. Also that ebay link is way overpriced, its usually about $100-110 brand new.

    • Thanks.

    $95 new at PCCG

    How old is it?

    • 18 months, though it is $109 at PCCG.

      • My bad.

        The CX650 is $95, not the CX650M.

How much do you want for it?

        • Got another fan to be delivered, I'm going to see if a fan improves airflow in the case. After more research, I'm not convinced a SFF PSU will improve temperatures much.
