My memory for names is dreadful - I recall Quantum Cat, Jar Jar Binks, JVC, etc. But it is not so much the names, I recall, but the way people have helped me to find bargains, information, or just amusement.

@funnysht: Happened to me. Had an account from 5 years ago I didn't use because I think it was flagged as everything I posted got removed for being 'pointless' etc.
Then my current account started having the same issues so I got the shits and challenged every. single. deleted post, which really got up one mod who put me in the penalty box because 'you have another account with too many infractions'.
6 months later and I don't feel like I'm missing much.

I don't know why people bother posting there, the mods are so aggressive and the (remaining) users are so up themselves.
I dunno why I keep reading stuff there, the thread "What salary you earn" makes me cry myself to sleep every night. The average salary on there is $150K at 25 years of age. :(

If I was still on my first account there I'd be on 25k+ posts by now, a particularly nasty mod there took a vendetta against me and pb'ed me for a build up of infractions (having comments deleted for being in his opinion 'pointless' and I had a bright aura. In a moment of poor judgement I told him he was a dick in the twam area. The bastard is still there doing the same but somehow missed my new account that I've had for 4 years now.

Honestly? Not much. I rarely buy stuff that gets posted on here. I would've spent collectively less than $5-6k on stuff in that time, and that includes a few flights to the US and to Perth.
I mean, if there was a membership (or meme) card I would have to hand mine in, I own zero eneloops, never bought a Wish gift card, I don't buy e-gift cards from the UK eBay to "save" $5 or whatever because I just so rarely buy stuff.
Edit: how much has it cost you? Or how much have you unwillingly spent on stuff you didn't actually want?
i havent "wasted" money because of ozbargain, but i have "spent" money on things i otherwise wouldnt have known about
eg: recently someone posted an amazon deal on a portable battery pack car jump starter. its a good item, however its $100 i wouldnt have spent if i didnt know about it.
