      Not exactly same price range but I like Reolink offering, they have quite good sensor for the price. More expensive than Xiaomi though and not many works with Google Assistant yet.

          For Xiaomi, some of them can and some of them can't. I'm fairly sure the 1080p models from Xiaomi can stream to chromecast devices. The older 720p models reportedly can't. Just add them via Mihome.

        I never used any internal security camera before… so not sure what to expect.
        I can see there are lots of camera's available including some cheaper Xiaomi ones…

        I was also advised the Sricam 720P HD IP Camera is very decent for its price… however happy to spend the extra for this one if this is decent.

        Question: Description of the OP says this doesn't come with any power adapter? So What sort of Power Adapter it requires? Just Micro-USB 5W-2A mobile charger?

          Just a USB charger, yeah.

          You can set the camera up to push a notification to your phone when it detects motion too. For $50 it's a steal!

      I did an admittedly brief search, but have found myself happy with those security cameras.

      The quality is very good, but it is sad there is no PC app to access them.

      Audio quality is not the most amazing, but comprehensible conversations can be had over them.

      Some small annoyances:
      If you trigger sleep off whilst the camera is in a dark room, it will not realise it is actually in a dark room and turn on IR mode. This can be 'fixed' by toggling the camera's IR mode settings.
      The smallest interval of motion recording is 3 minutes, so it may miss some things inbetween.
      It can be a bit tricky to insert a microSD as the camera moves a bit.

      I don't have a band 2, but the band 3 is pretty hard to see outside in the sunlight. Perhaps band 4 is better, but I doubt it.

        4 is plenty bright in my experience it you turn it up. I skipped the 3 so I can't compare, but it's better than the 2.

    I got the bedside light for my daughter a few months ago (for about $48 from gearvita). It's good - she likes being able to ask the google home to change the colour, and it's handy for me to turn down the brightness after she falls asleep.

    Came to OzB to ask the same question. My additional requirement is that I can be able to play the live footage on my chromecast TV. Any units that can do this?

    I only know of the Wyze cam that can do this but the footage isn't recorded.
