  • Wow, $150 off $500 spend is actually pretty god. Any tips on what to spend it on? Medication I guess. But other places are cheaper..

PB discounts are usually pretty good, and Fancy Feast tinned cat food is usually cheapest here so this is where we typically shop.

I’d also be using this for the best kitty litter.

    • What litter do you use? i hear the breeders choice litter is pretty decent

So Phresh, or the expensive clumping clay and sand types I find is far better for odour controls and ability to remove clumps without it falling apart. Crystals just trickle the piss to the bottom and are too sharp for their paws. Pellets (paper/grass/recycled whatever) dissolve too quickly and don’t clump well, plus they’re a bitch to scoop. The corn husks were OK but didn’t clump piss.

The downsides to the clumping clay or sand types are 1. Gotta make sure the dust settles when refilling, and your cat isn’t one to play around in an enclosed box, especially if kitty is asthmatic. 2. EXXY. But they’re still the best IMO.

So Phresh has a type of lightweight clumping litter that looks like tiny dark grey balls. This stuff is amazing even though it looks skanky AF. It seems to have a little less dust than other clumping clays, but it’s so light that our female with very furry toebeans tracks it.

        • Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience.

Seems like you have tried a fair amount of litters to settle with So Phresh / clumping clay or sand so the recommendation is very much appreciated.

i have been using the rocks from coles but recently had to get the paper pellets; both of which are not that great; but on the plus side the rocks are pretty cheap but do not clump so you just need to change the tray every few days.

I will give So Phresh a shot and see if i can change my habits.
          Thank you

    Thanks heaps OP!

I normally pay $150 for my dog food at the Vet or $135-140 online if i am organised. PB had it for $119 on special and then the Spend X save Y discounts.
So I ended up with 2 bags (all they had left) +$15 worth of treats and paid $188!! BARGAIN :) Saved $100+

  • Dam !!!

    I bought a 15kg bag a couple of weeks ago… Won't need another for a few months.

  • If you use click & collect or delivery, cashrewards might work too..

  • Possibly targetted deal. My numbers are different.

    • Me too
      $20 off $100

    • I created a new account and got the discounts listed in the post

      • Lucky, I tried to accounts and neither one received any discounts.

  • There is currently a lot of Friends for Life specials on Sentinel and other treatments, will this then offer a further reduction or will they revert to list price for the overall discount?

    • Offers do not apply to Vet Prescription Diets, Repeat Delivery or Petbarn Services.
Offers do apply for already sale items. So log into your account to find out. I think it should be further down but not revert to pre-sale price.

I bought a prescription diet that was already on sale (20% off) also added some treats to get the total above 250 and was still able to see a further $70 discount during checkout YMMV but worth trying

We got two accounts at home. We use them when we get a 25% or 30% voucher to buy in store when they miss us.
