Moving houses soon. What should I look out for when choosing a company for my utilities?

Hey guys,

Like the title suggests, I'll be moving soon for the first time.

I'm comparing some companies such as AGL, Energy Australia and Origin but I have no idea what I'm looking at.

Any tips?

Cheaper = Better

Check their rates though. Usually a higher % discount means a higher rate charged per kw/h etc.

    Based on my research/calculations at the time I would say that GloBird had the best rates.
    I think they have a promotion + referral program going this year if you like this sort of thing:

Check the gas works when you inspect the property. If it doesn't work don't yell at your retailer when they tell you the db needs 2-3 days to reconnect.
