Currently on ADSL & Home telephone plan and with NBN continuously pushing date out, looking at other options until it arrives (just over 3 months now). Our internet is on about 3mbps so looking at wireless option for the interim. We are medium users of around 250-300gb per month. Looking for suggestions as to the cheapest wireless plan that might suit our needs.
Why not just keep your ADSL?
The only 4G plan that will give you that much data is Optus 500Gb.
That's fine, but they make you buy their 4G modem (which you'll need anyway)

or

So you're looking at a minimum $277 for the first month (modem plus 500Gb data) and $85/month thereafter.
If you can cut yourself back to 250Gb max and can live with 12/1 speeds, Exetel or Jeenee sell a speed limited Home Wireless Broadband service

But once again, they require you to buy their modem, and I believe the modem is locked to the SIM, so it's pretty much worthless in resale.
