Hi all. Sorry if any one has asked this already or this has been addressed. I couldn't find much info so thought would ask.
Looking to install cctv 4 camera plus alarm and back to base for our newly built house.
Someone said it would cost approx $3k all together. Have rang a few people they are going to quote soon and send.
Does anyone have any recommendations and or approx cost guidance for the installation/complete setup?
Any feedback/info would be highly appreciated

Double storey Bpsch system plus 3 reed switches and ethernet module were just over $1.8k including install. Installation was done with care and everything explained properly. Didn't do back to base as having worked in companies where back to base was utilised, I found response times to be quite underwhelming.
With the ethernet module I get push notifications so can decide what to do. CCTV will go in soon, quote was $1.6k for 4 HIKvision cameras and a dvr, can't decide between this and Arlo/Ring. Like the Ring Spotlight cameras but don't want to pay the subscription.
If you really want back to base just use ADT, total cost over 3 years is about $1.8K.
For what benefit? Is it to deter offenders? CCTV might help police on the very rare occasion. Better off just fitting crim safe and no need for CCTV. If it’s to snoop/spy on others then go for your life dropping a few grand for your pleasure.
Whenever I see a house with CCTV I think "wow, they must have some good stuff worth stealing".
Yet, you don’t go back there and steal their stuff… interesting.
No, I'm a law abiding citizen. If I were to turn to crime though, you'd better believe the places with visible security systems would be my targets.
