  I got the 3 month trial for eBay+ and haven't used it.

  Prime however actually has some benefits:

  • PrimeVideo
  • Twitch Prime
  • Free Expedited Shipping (and there are a lot of Prime items)
  • Prime Music (which is pretty bad but it's still included)

  Cheap groceries and deals are common.

    Ya. Find the same thing too. Never bothered with ebay plus.

    Signed up to Amazon where savings off prime day is enough to cover the year's membership fee.

    ever since prime video has chromecast support, it has made it more valuable
    also amex deal for Amazon prime!

  Both are solutions looking for a problem. Make sure you don't buy more than you otherwise would after you pay for the subscription cost to justify it because it's a sunk cost.

  Having said that, the Amex credit reduces the Prime cost by 40% and if you anticipate buying things over the coming year, it could be worthwhile.

  Have both + Catch Club. Catch will definitely gone this year but the other 2 have saved a lot of money

  I've never used Ebay plus, I have no idea what it really does? Most things are free delivery anyway, I'm a little iffy with it as well as I feel eBay will start removing features that is usually available to everyone to stick behind the eBay Plus paywall to make it worth something.

  I was surprised Amazon Prime came with video and everything, personally I haven't used much of it though, but the free delivery has been good so far.

  the biggest advantage with Amazon Prime is the ability to get free shipping for USA items over $50.

    Totally worth it too. Ordered a gaming chair which had a postage cost of $250.

  Prime. I'd rather let someone else carry the Coke and Mount Franklin water right to my doorstep.

  eBay Plus was good for a while, the free return via ParcelPoint have a bit of a gotcha - can't be more than 12kg and the dimensions can't exceed 120cm in total. Got caught out twice and ended up having to organise my own freight to return the items. Won't be renewing it.
