First off, I work in IT so putting the machine together isn't an issue - I'm just a little behind on the consumer computer parts market at the moment, so looking for some suggestions on what to upgrade.
I have currently:
4790k
16gb ram
980ti
1440p 165hz monitor
I'm thinking about upgrading to a 3700x, 16/32 DDR4 RAM and a new motherboard (likely the ROG X570-E).
I have an ATX case, so has to be an ATX motherboard (I think the X570-E may be E-ATX? haven't checked).
Reason for upgrade is my computer is starting to act up, and I do a bit of video rendering hence Ryzen over Intel + Intel is just plain expensive from what I've gauged.
I'll probably upgrade GPU down the track, 980ti does very well for the games I play (Overwatch, CSGO mainly), as current gen GPU's are very expensive.
I think I have my heart set on a 3700x, what RAM and motherboard would you recommend? Points for linking me to bargains, too.
Thanks all!
Not knowing much about computers & only the basics with hardware. I can only recommend you getting SSD over HDD. The only reason I mentioned it is because you didn't put any details of storage in your post. Good luck.
