USB Drive to Record TV from Samsung Q75R?

Does anyone know what specs are needed for a USB drive to record TV from a Samsung Q75R? Will this suffice: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/470636?

Apparently the signal needs to be digital, excuse my ignorance but how do I know if this is the case?

    That'll be fine. All TV via an aerial is digital in Australia now so good to go.

    You might need to shop around because thats usb 3.0 and some tvs need 2.0 - do you have any usbs at home you can test ?

      USB 3.0 and 2.0 are backwards compatible anyway aren't they?
