  • Requirement for winner to hold a valid motorcycle license according to the T’s and C’s, otherwise it gets redrawn if you can’t provide ID.

Saywhaaaaat - your comment isn't quite correct - the exact wording in the T&C's is as follows …

"must be collected from the closest Authorised Harley-Davidson® Dealership to the Winner’s location by (at minimum) a Learner motorcycle licenced rider. If a licenced rider is not available, the winner can seek alternative transport costs at their own expense."

As you will notice when you go through the signup for competition - there is a question along the lines of - do you own, or do you intend to get a motorcycle licence?

As long as you "intend" to get your motorcycle licence - then (in my view) you meet the criteria for the comp.

I guess, if you falsely said that you already had a motorcycle licence … then failed to produce it, that would be a cause for it to be redrawn.

        Condition 12 says otherwise…
        12) Each entry has a random and equal chance of being drawn. All valid entries received during the promotion period will be entered into the draw. The Promoter and the Promotion Partner retain the absolute discretion to require any entrant to provide proof of residency at the Household address, proof of age and Motorbike License before awarding a prize. If the winner does not meet this eligibility criteria the prize will be redrawn.

How did the promoter explain what they meant by this term in their eligibility criteria?

        • They're trying to cull dishonest entries. It says that the promoter retains the absolute discretion to require the entrant to provide the above-highlighted information, and this clause basically means, if they think the entrant falsified any details on their entry, they can request proof by the means specified. If the entrant answered "yes" to the question of whether or not they hold a valid motorcycle licence, and can't produce it, then they'll forfeit their prize. Honesty is always king!

Is my name and date of birth worth a chance of a new motorbike?

There are very few competitions that won't ask your DOB or Name

      • true. i was trying to sell myself on the idea that it would be ok for me to whore out my details for a new bike.

and yes, it turns out that I am ok with that :-)

I just use my regular fake competition DOB :), they can have my real one if I win.

It sure why I’m getting the down votes when pointing out the conditions of entry??

proof of age and Motorbike License before awarding a prize. If the winner does not meet this eligibility criteria the prize will be redrawn.

    • Probably because OP has confirmed with the Promoter that it's not required.

NOTE: Motorcycle licence is not a prerequisite for entry (confirmed by Promoter).

      • The OP added the comment to the post after I pointed out the terms and conditions had it as requirement. So not sure why there’s the haters - the description is now clearer based on my feedback!

It’s still unclear why the promoter has changed the terms of the promotion but not updated the official terms on the web site.

  • Why enter if you don’t have an interest in Motorbikes though?

      To sell and profit.

  • Says on their website "The winner will be announced on this page by end of day Tuesday 29th October 2019.", but still can't see the announcement.
