Yes, Ryzen 2000 series is kind of old news. The AMD Ryzen 5 2600X is still great value and is around 10 to 15% behind the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, but you'll save around $85 dollars.

  Ryzen 5 2600x may be old news, but that paired with an RX570 or 580 still slaps modern games for 1080/1440p gaming.

  I'm just waiting to find out if Luke has any more awesome deals for systems like that coming up.

    An RX580 struggles terribly at 1440p and if you go ultrawide you really need at least an RTX2080. At 1080p an RX580 is only OK with some settings lowered. The RX570 you could argue might be just OK at medium settings.

    No, it does not slap modern games for 1440p gaming. It should be able to deal with 1080p at playable framerates on high settings though.
