2 30" LCDs for Work and Gaming

Looking to buy two 30" LCDs so I can work at home more productively but would also like to ensure that the model is good for gaming if I am that way inclined.

Any recommendations? Prefer to spend max of $2k for both screens.

  • do you want:
    a curved or regular screen?
play FPS or not? high Hz screen interests you?
what resolution suits you? want 4K?

hope this helps narrow it down

    • Thanks. I have always had a flat screen, so unsure how good a curved one would be?

Yes,I would want a high Hz screen.

      4k - Yes.

  • VX3276 for $300 a piece.

  • AOC

    • this! model no. somewhere along 32wfdxxxxxx

      32" 1440p IPS 75hz freesync

under $300 with ebay 20% off

      • How good is their build quality?

        • Well they have solid panel gaps and the paint job has very few swirls and blemishes.

        • very good. I have dual 22" monitors for my home office. really happy with their quality.

      • 75hz isn't very high hz, I'd be looking 120hz+

        • That's what I thought too. Thank you.

  • Also - what panel do you want? Big question to me. TN panel is poor colour reproduction and viewing angles, but typically faster refresh. IPS is good colour and angles, but typically slower refresh. VA is in between the two in most aspects I guess. There are other varieties too.

I got the following 27" Kogan curved 1440p 144hz. It's a VA panel - in between TN and IPS. I'd have liked one of the other options (non-Kogan brands) that are out there, essentially equivalent but IPS panel, however they (at the time) were all $700+ whereas I got this one on sale for ~$350 on sale and using discount ebay coupons or something (got it from Kogan ebay).

I don't notice the curved aspect of it very much. I wasn't looking for curved, but best option I could find at the time for the price.

If you're happy to spend $2k total there are probably better options that will fill that budget; just too much for me.

    • 1800r curve doesn't feel curvy enough ?

    • Thanks for the explanation. Ive heard IPS is the best, so that's what I am leaning too. Im coming from a Dell 30" at the moment.
