The quality of our tap water in Australia is so good, it's among the best in the world, there really is no need to buy bottled water imo. In saying that I'd like to thank the op for taking the time to post a deal, awesome of you op! :)

You obviously haven't had Adelaide water…

      • +1

        I live in Adelaide :).

      • +1

Adelaide here too. Agree that the water here is good, travel the world a bit and you'll realise what bad water is.

    • +1

      agreed

I live in hong kong for 10 years and no one drinks tap water

Locals will boil the water before drinking but foreigners rarely drink tap water even after boiled.

      • +2

Personally haven't looked into Hong Kong but I've heard from some Ozbargainers warning not to drink tap water.

We really are lucky to have such good quality water, heck we water our gardens and wash our cars with better quality water than what most of the world population have to drink!

        • +1

Hong Kong use to provide its own water and reservoirs but its actually cheaper now to pump it from china

    • I put some water bottles in the trunk of my car and find it quite helpful when there is no tap around.

      • +2

Just make sure the temperature of your car doesn't get too hot or the plastic can Leech into the water.

sure, if you ignore the completely unnecessary fluoridation.

When I lived in an area supplied by Sydney Water, I always drank that and would never have contemplated buying bottled water.

However not all places are blessed with water like that and the water in my current town is pumped from bores around the town and would be going through a much lower standard of water treatment.

It seemed to sometimes cause gastro upsets and also given the high prevalence of intensive agriculture in this area, who knows what chemicals are actually sitting in that water.

So yeah, I stick to bottled water now.

Have been waiting for this sale to come back. But it’s no longer $5.50! Tragic!

    $8.40 for 14.4L at coles
    $0.583/L

    Compared to

$7.0 for 10L of Amazon MT Franklin
    $0.7/L

    That’s a no from me.
