[out of stock]The rtx super cards are finally here. 2070 super performance is below Rtx 2080.
It is a little sad this card is not much better than the Founder edition. Happy to pay if the price drop below $750

Wow, equal or better than 1080ti in some games. Behind in others. I'm impressed.
Still, not cheap, bought my 1080ti about a year ago for $950.
One benchmark I looked at

Yep, this price is very expensive considering the small gain over the AMD 5700XT. Techmall has extremely inflated pricing for nvidia cards and the MSI Trio is usually a higher price, so hopefully other sellers and cards will be more competitive.
EDIT removed the price comparison to RTX2080. My mind was adding another $100 to this price.
5700 XT should be good when non-blower models come out + price drops a little
I don't think the 5700 XT needs to lower in price to be competitive.
@FabMan: I don't mean AMD dropping the RRP, more that it just came out and is only available from a few pricy stores right now
@Merlict: Pricey? dude you can buy it for $629 over $200 less than the 2070 super
@Axelstrife: Sure, and I'm a cheapskate who can wait til it's available in a deal like this :p
@Axelstrife: But shouldn't you compare RX 5700xt to RTX 2060 super instead of RTX 2070 super?
RTX2060 super and RX5700xt are on the same level
@ty99234: The 5700 matches the 2060 super the 5700 xt matches the 2070 super.
Different games show different results.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkA-yCrl_A4
this one video for example shows the 2070 super both winning by a large margin over the 5700 xt in GTA V then loosing by a large margin to the 5700 xt in BFV
@Axelstrife: If you look carefully in the video, you will find 5700Xt is aligning its performance better with 2070 instead of 2070 super.

@ty99234: Those results in the first link the shadow of the tomb raider seems to be inaccurate, the video i linked and https://www.anandtech.com/show/14618/the-amd-radeon-rx-5700-… show 5700 xt to match the 2070 super in shadow of the tomb raider 1080p, havent looked at the rest just noticed that.
@Axelstrife: No it doesn't lmao. It's dead even with the regular 2070 and doesn't even come close to the 2070 Super.
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt/28.…
doesn't even come close to the 2070 Super.
Techspot and Hardwareunboxed show that 5700x is on average only 2% behind 2070super and it is much cheaper.

That said, I'd wait for non-blower versions.
@FabMan: I do.
Esp with no Ray tracing.
A few benchmarks seem to be showing up to a quarter performance increase at 4k as well.
@RI4V4N: Against what card in particular though?
The old cards of 2060 and 2070 are selling out, their current low prices is to clear stock, so the 5700 ($549) and 5700 XT ($629) will compete against the 2060 Super ($729) and 2070 Super ($939), using PC Case Gear prices. So is the 2060 Super worth $100 more than the 5700 XT, is the 2070 Super worth $310 more than the 5700 XT?
I reckon the 2070 Super should be fine utilising ray tracing, but how will the 2060 Super do. I love the idea of ray tracing, but I'm not interested in using low resolutions or having low fps to get it on a $700+ GPU.
Yeah I'm so tempted in getting the 5700 XT, but prefer the proprietary rather than the standard design.
For those thinking about buying this, apparently Tweaktown think this card is a beast:

Seems decent for one of the better mainstream coolers
