Hey guys,
I'm after a small compact camera and thought the m50 looks like good value. Did anyone buy one recently and would you do so again?
Cheers :)

assume you mean would you recommend getting one?
for my purposes just starting out in raw photography it’s an awesome unit!
most compare mirrorless m50 or dslr 200d both you’re getting monies worth 👍
suggest you watch a few m50 reviews on youtube
Fuji XE3 with XC 15-45mm, great lite compact travel camera …. look at DP Review website for full info/test. I am a retired Pro Photographer and this is my go to camera for QUALITY travel images. Most of my high end Nikon gear is at rest for most of the time!.
Thanks I'll check it out. I was originally keen on an xt20-30 but on handling them they just didn't feel right. Maybe the xe3 will be more compact and ergonomically friendly than those
These discussions are pointless without knowing what sort of photography you want to do.
Fair point. Its mostly for everyday snaps and landscapes. I currently have Olympus micro four thirds with a pro zoom but its not that light.
Was just hoping to go lighter and up the IQ a tad while I'm at it. I do realize m4/3 has a better lens catalogue than canon m but a standard zoom usually does me 99% of the time
I love my M50. I took it backpacking around Asia and its small enough to take around for everyday activities which I think I might get some cool shots. I find the UI very easy to navigate and it takes great photos. The range of lenses isn't amazing but I've bought a few and enjoy them all in different ways.
I wouldn't do it again. One is enough.
