  That X1 CArbon is exactly what I want, in the specs I want, and that price is friggin spectacular. But alas being right in the middle of selling my home I can’t access any money until next week at the soonest. An offer has been made but it’s still in the cooling off period. ARGH.

  There’s an E490 (i5) on sale on Lenovo site for $1080 right now, plus you can get the 12% cashback. There’s an i7 for $1360…

    Having said this, the X1 Carbon deal is dead.

  Ebay seems to offer better prices than Lenovo's official store. Just search for X1 Carbon 16 on ebay and you'll get 2.2k to 2.5k for WQHD 512GB SSD 16GB RAM variants of the X1
