Throwing it out to the OZB community, mum's oven died after a solid 37 years service and we're looking to replace it… The thing is, her oven has a retractable door (IE:- it opens and slides in and under the oven, making it a lot easier to take things in and out), and there only seems to be one manufacturer we can find that does this now, Neff. Has anyone got a different manufacturer that might do this? The sales guy at HN told mum that Neff was the only one doing it, but I'm hoping he was incorrect.

Good thinking, I asked mum that about 20 minutes ago :)

RawsonsYou don’t want a Neff?
Have the Neff slide and hide in the new house. Seriously the best oven ever and we bought it for $1999 which is a really good price for this gem. We've used a lot of ovens and would highly recommend Bosch, Siemens and Neff. Can't go wrong with them. Cheers!
Also, I'm pretty sure they're the only ones with the retractable door. Heard they patented it.
Just looking to see if there's alternatives, the Neffs are the most costly, but always have a longer warranty than some (although the salesmen flatout told mum not to expect another oven to last 36 years).
My Nan still has one that the door can retract or open on either side by pressing a button. Have to love 70/80s ingenuity. :P
Would a side opening be OK?
