Anyone know what intel cpu this is equivalent to?
Probably a core i3-8100. This has 4 cores and HT whereas the i3 has just 4 cores. That being said the i3-8100 probably beats it in MOST applications. I can’t recall if this entry level ryzen includes a IGPU, I know the higher ones don’t, but the i3 does .
Edit: AMD call HT SMT, but it’s pretty much the same function
This Ryzen has Vega 8 graphics. If you're looking at the letter 'G' in the model name that means that it will have Vega graphics.
No HT/SMT on the 3200G. Still pretty compelling for the price though.
Very compelling. Also I feel like at this price point its a hard ask to pay 60% more or about $90 for the 3400g when you're getting HT, slightly better clock and Vega 11 gfx.
You may as well put that $90 towards dual channel more ram or a better vga or better m/b etc.
According to the cheat sheet these are still Zen+ and not Zen 2 but for the money…
You got some while to go if you're not in a rush. I reckon give it a while and they'll dive towards $100.
