Where to Exchange Currency (AUD Cash to NZD Cash) in Melbourne?

My parents are going overseas soon, and they would like to exchange $1500 AUD into NZD (CASH) - instead of say using Citibank Plus (depositing AUD then withdrawing from ATMs in New Zealand… is that how it's recommended here on Ozb?)

Anyway, is there anywhere I could exchange $1500 AUD into NZD CASH (at 1.03 or above rate?) without any extra fees?

  United currency exchange is normally the go to.

  Why are they taking cash??

  Go to the airport at the time a NZ inbound flight arrives and stand next to the baggage carousel with a sign saying you want to change cash.

    Except the baggage carousel for inbound international flights is air-side (between immigration and customs). Only passengers and authorised persons in there.

  Travel Money Oz are my go to for foreign currency. No fees. Not sure the rate but can check it online.

      Take a small amount that you exchange to NZD in Melbourne, then take rest in AUD.

      When in NZ go to PostOffice bank, with AUD and get far more NZD than you will get here in Oz.

      Still dealing in Old Fellas cash
