Save your money
Poor ingredients- wheat, sorghum, corn and barley
Overpriced for the ingredients
I buy the Costco dog biscuits these days. Excellent value for money, and if you check dog food reviews (i know, they exist) it rates highly.
Which particular one do you buy
I think Kirkland signature blue or red bag are good
Same makers as taste of the wild
Costco does a few rubbish ones as well
The red one. Turkey i think it is. The blue one is Salmon iirc. $54, never looked back.
I also buy their Kirkland signature turkey or salmon food.
My border collies have been very happy with it for the past few years and agree, it gets good reviews
I got a puppy recently and asked a few vets about this brand and they recommended it. I also asked whether grain free was important because this does have grains and I can't remember exactly what she said, but it was along the lines of grain free being overrated.
Of course the only bag I use is sold out on this site though
Grains generally get a bad rap as when a dog has an allergy to something, they usually get the blame when it is in fact the protein. I think it's over rated but they are more of a filler and they don't get a huge nutritional benefit from it…that said, I'm no animal nutritionist.
Very awesome deal!
If your dog has no allergies than grains are ok.
However to fill your food with grains and then sell a bag for over $100 is purely money minded
If you are spending over $100 a bag, I would much rather feed my dog chicken/ turkey/ lamb/ beef instead of barley/ sorghum/ wheat/ corn.
Which is why I said above this is overpriced
It's half price tho so is $60 A bag ok?
What else do ppl recommend if this one is overpriced?
Need some new food for my pooch that's ozb certified
I feed my dog Blackhawk grain free, which is about $60-65 for 7kg from PetCircle. Lasts him about 2 months and he's a big (35kg) dog. I also give him raw chicken or beef mince with his meals too though, so I'm feeding him 1 cup of grain-free biscuits and 250g of raw meat per night, and sometimes 1/2 to 1 cup biscuits in the morning. He costs me about $3.50/day to feed
Usual best price for the 14-15kg bags single buy is about $85-$90, so a bargain, I bought.
My 13 yo Weimaraners have been on Eukanuba all their life, now on the Mature and Senior type, Large breed for the larger format kibble.
I've occasionally tried one of the grain-free brands, the kibble size tends to be too small and I haven't noticed any difference in the dogs reactions, always come back to Eukanuba.
Thanks, have bought 6 bags. Finding it harder to get discounts so should last a while for 2 dogs :)
Hopefully not close to use by. I bought some chook food there last month c&c and the best before is this month.
Delivered today and exp not for over 12 months. Happy with price
Thanks, bought 4x12 wet food cans for $50 delivered. (Signed up a new email for $10 welcome credit)
My little gent used to get terrible rashes and skin issues which a few vets told me was just spring/summer seasonal. Rubbish. Changed his dry food portion to the Eukanuba Sensitive Skin formula and his wet food to Blackhawk Chicken. He has not had a flare up since. Just my 2 cents.
