It's a great offer and YES I am associated with Osawa Enterprises. Not hiding that! Still a great offer. Hope you're having a great night :)

    • More like spam since they scammed the A5 wagyu from last deal

      • -1

        what do you mean?

        • Don’t sound like you know nothing about the false advertise the A5 wagyu from last deal, you guys are hopeless

          • @tif1607: Hey there. No false advertising. The last deal WAS A5 Wagyu. That being said, my understanding is that anyone who was confused about the grade or it wasn't exactly what they were expecting was 100% refunded. So a good result in the end.

Friend, whats the score of the meat? Seems that you can get 1kg of wagyu rib fillet grade 7+ for around $125, maybe cheaper at local butchers.

    • Hey their so called A5 from last deal was bs so I would not trust their rating at all

      • What did Osawa say about your picture?

        • Refer to below for their reply when I show them the photo, such bs about I’m getting the less marble because it’s the middle cut….

          “Hi,
the photo was A5 grade rump steaks. the one we cut for your order is also A5 grade. If we did promote A5 striploin or rib eye sreak, then marbling should be more consistent. A5 grade starts form BMS 8-12. also both side of rump is very different marbling as well. The piece looks middle of less marbled side of rump. We will email you for your complaint within a few business days.
          Thanks
          Osawa
PS: We are trying to get into Costco for last 6 months, we already supplied some samples to them. Hopefully you will see it at their shelf one day.”

    • Hey there. Thanks to the feedback here, Osawa has added more value into the Meal Box. It was always Japanese Wagyu Outside Flat Meat(Kagoshima, A5 Grade, Marbling Score of 10-11*) - but now you get 1.5kg instead of 1kg. Hope that helps!

besides the meat, the other ingredients are worth less than $10

    • +1

      +1 on this.

Not sure if that's a good move from Osawa, it should be all about providing quality Japanese wagyu at a great price. Not the rest of the junk that cost close to nothing.

      • They ain’t providing nothing close to Japanese quality mate

        • Hey there. They sure are. A certificate of authenticity comes with your meal box too.

      • Hey there.. check out the updated offer. Half a kilo more of the same Japanese Wagyu cut is now included in the offer. Osawa saw your comments and listened! Also the meal boxes are designed to make it convenient for you to make an authentic Japanese meal at home. They have had feedback from customers that they are not sure what to do with our cuts of meat/ what to cook. So they are testing these meal boxes.

    I bought the last deal
I'm glad i got a refund now after reading other comments
I ordered pick-up within 1 hour of the bargain posting, got confirmation to pick up. They called me few days later and said its "sold out", i believe they just sold it to someone else rather than putting it aside. If not, a mistake Is a mistake I can understand.

i said well i guess you are sold out can i get something else or a different cut.
He said, i can't promise you the same quality and we don't do that.
He said you can wait 2-3 months for the next batch via text (because I missed a call) then after call back he said I can’t promise you anything I said , I know but just give me a rough idea I won’t hold you to it he said maybe more like 4 months maybe more because certification can be hard to get through. So I just said give me a refund, giving me a headache by being so technical like I am interrogating you.

Glad they honoured their 100% money back guarantee. As you say mistakes can happen.

    Any whale meat?

  • So the 1kg of Japanese Outside Flat Meat seem to cost $140 as the rest of the item just cost $10 to buy.

    300gm Enoki Mushrooms $3 a bag
    100gm Shirataki $1-$2 ($5 1kg from flemington market,NSW)
6 pieces of Tofu $1.5 (half box of 12 pieces tofu)
    300gm of Chinese Cabbage $1 ($2-3 each around 1.5 -2kg)
    100gm of Spring Onions <$1
200gm of Edible Chrysanthemum <$1 for a box of 200g
    250ml Soy Sauce $1
200gm of Udon Noodles $1.5 (even with Japanese udon)

Some item are retail price so wholesale would have been cheaper.

    No deal for me

    • Hey after seeing customers questions, they have upgraded the deal to include 1.5kg of Japanese Wagyu Outside Flat Meat (Kagoshima, A5 Grade, Marbling Score of 10-11*) *Certificate of authenticity included in your meal box too. This cut is normally $150 per kg. So even if you don't count the other ingredients that's $225 value for $149.95. Sounds like a pretty good deal! Have a good one.

      • 1.5 is more reasonable

        • Yeah I think so too!

  • should I say it is generous for them to include 250ml soy sauce. It is way more than I need for a meal.

    • just because they want you to use it as the soup base

      • Sure is :)

    • Hey yes its so you can make the Sukiyaki sauce base.
