Ryco Syntec Oil Filters - Z418ST, Z386ST, Z495ST - $12.25 Each, Free Delivery @ Sparesbox eBay

240
PAUTO15

Most of us know about the PAUTO15 coupon at eBay but the following Ryco Syntec Oil Filters - Z418ST, Z386ST, Z495ST appear to be such a good price from Sparesbox eBay that I thought they probably deserve their own post. They are currently the same price as the regular Ryco filters and with the code the price comes down to $12.25 each with free delivery. The pre-discount price is the same at the Sparesbox.com.au site but there is only a 10% discount available using the TAX10 code, and not sure if shipping is free.

Each listing shows 6 pieces available, but there are multiple listings for each of the filters except for the Z495ST.

For comparison, the Z418ST is currently "on sale" at Repco for $23.99

Edit - I should probably have mentioned other Syntec filters are at excellent prices too, but they're just not on special for the same price as the "budget" Ryco filters.

  • Thanks OP. My old festiva takes the 436 which was only $14 for the premium ST version

    • You're welcome. I should probably have mentioned other Syntec filters are at excellent prices too, but they're just not on special for the same price as the "budget" Ryco filters.

    • whats up with 436? It fits just about anything. Most Subaru's seem to be 436.

  • Cheers OP, $13 for the Z734 seems reasonable!

  • Thanks. Bought a few for my nugget Supra

  • What's the diff between ST and the non-ST?

    • +1

      https://www.rycofilters.com.au/Page/Syntec_Oil_Filters

They have a better efficiency than the regular version. The syntec have a fully synthetic media and have 99.8% efficiency @ 25 micron, the regular has paper media and according to internet speculation ~85% efficiency @ 40 micron.

      • How much difference does that make when you replace these every 6-12 months anyway? And what about those cheapo Wesfil ones?

        • Lol, it depends who you talk to. If you want to open that can of worms spend some time over here >

How much are Wesfil at the moment? When I placed my order yesterday the cheapest WZ418 I could find was only $0.75 cheaper than the ST.

          • @mapax: WZ386 is only $5.61 lol!

            • +1

@CVonC: Where is it selling for $5.61? Price includes delivery?

              • @ash7503: On SB's website. 10% off code doesn't work on them. Will be free shipping if your order is over $49. Won't be free shipping if you order more than 6.

                WZ418 is the same price.

The prices on their eBay site are way over inflated for some reason.

                • +1

@CVonC: Thanks. I guess that works if you want six filters plus other items, but I only wanted one. The WZ on its own would be $13.86 delivered.

The syntec is a better filter and cheaper if only ordering one.

If you like WZ, it's worth keeping an eye on Autobarn, they occasionally have the wesfil/cooper on sale for $5.00.

                  • +1

@mapax: Well you can order just one and fill the rest of your cart with other items. But yeah not sure if it's worth it over Ryco, although it is less than half the price. Thanks for the heads up with Autobarn.

  • Z436ST $13.69 with PAUTO15 fits some Subaru https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162420501390

  • The flip side of this is it may in fact be cheaper getting a filter kit with all three filters rather than being set on a syntec plus separate air filters.
