Does anyone know how to unlock a Telstra phone for free. Is it even possible? I am thinking of buying the Telstra mobile on kmarts catalogue this week and wanted to unlock this.
thanks

Why not just buy a unlocked phone outright?
$89 Free shipping

Has 3.2 megapixel camera versus 2 megapixels and is also Blue Tick approved.
Brilliant suggestion..
thanks but already purchased the T108 for $29 with bonus $10 credit.
NOw pay $80 to unlock it
Dude, you'd have better off buying the Telstra smart touch that everyone has specials on at the moment - $99 with up to $50 credit. Easy peasy to unlock.
see mums not the gadgety type of person. She prefers simple phones. She doesn't like flip or slide phones either. So this was the best buy. Should i mention this is her 4th phone in just 2 years. It either gets flushed or left behind somewhere.
But perhaps it's not a "best buy" if you cannot unlock it LOL
Or put in the Freezer like my dear old Dads last one ;)
coolest mobile around…
I have two options:
1) Wait for 6 months and then go to Telstra shop, they will charge you $25 to unlock that mobile, sometime they do it for free.
2) Get some of your friend who is on Telstra prepaid longer than 6 months and then under their account, they will unlock Ur phone, may charge $25 or free if u lucky. (but I can confirm that they don't record that the phone is under your friend's name).
I was unable to find a free service for unlocking your phone…It is better to go for paid unlocking services as they can they unlock it permanently…You can unlock the phone with the help of http://www.simpleunlocking.com/supported-phones/rs16wp7/ where you need to provide your phone model and network that your phone is locked too…After receiving your unlock code you can get free instructions from http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/
What phone is it?
