Awesome! Diving of course is my main goal while there, Especially with the whale sharks. My main focus has been Placencia however was looking at doing that and another location over 2-3 weeks.. I will see if Caye Caulker can be slotted in … great recommendation!.
With that all said, I did the Red Sea this year, I can't imagine anything matching the dives I experienced there.
Somehow I read that as 'driving'…and you were driving with whale sharks.

I haven't dived much, but it was spectacular there. Picture 30 metres of clear visibility, juicy coral reef shelf, warm water, heaps of fish (I dived in board shorts and a shirt) It was heavenly!
