Not sure if intentional or a mistake. Instead of discounting the 40% off sale price with the 50% off PTDE loyalty discount it's adding the 2 discounts together for a total of 90% off.
Can also be purchased as a gift at this price, but only if you have not already purchased it for your own account. As soon as you purchase it for your own account you will lose access to the loyalty discount so hook up your friends before grabbing it for yourself. Gifting doesn't work anymore.
Damn, I thought I had the PTDE. :(
Hmm, do I bother upgrading a game I have yet to play after purchasing once already…

Damn it looks good. How does the loyalty discount work - I don’t see the price reflected in page. Oh right, duh you have to buy the original. I’d be grateful if someone could gift it to me. PM and I’ll sort you out.
There's a lot of criticism about this release and how it is not an improvement. Also I don't think you can play the original once you buy the newer one but I could be wrong. Worth looking up before jumping in
I was almost put off seeing reviews on steam but I picked it up on sale a few weeks ago and haven't regretted upgrading. I found that even using the DSFix mod you'd still get pretty mixed results performance wise. Playing the remastered version at locked 60fps feels so much nicer and having a smooth run through Blight Town the other day was worth the $5 alone haha.
Also, you can still play the old version as this just adds a whole new game to your library (although I doubt I'll ever need to go back now)
I have the original. This is better in subtle ways. Worth $5 but not more
You can't gift it at this price, when gifting it goes back to the normal price before loyalty discount. At least that was my experience on mobile.
