  • Are they only suitable for cold weather?

    • +2

Nah, they're more for weight than warmth, so they can be used in both winter and summer.

So, if you're a big boy, but you sleep in a single bed, they recommend you get a long sized blanket?

    • I think so….

Do people recommend this?? I dont know what the rating of this product is.

    • Code didn't work for me 🤔

Is there a way to buy online, but choose to pick up in store so it doesnt charge for delivery?

  • +1

Hopefully they don't cancel my order again and actually send it this time.

My dog is my weighted blanket

    • +7

This weighted blanket wont fart on your head.
Or is it just my dog that does this in the middle of the night.

  • +5

Perfect, my brother wanted a weighted blanket, and it's his birthday next week. Thanks for posting.

    • get him a gf instead. They are much more weighted.

  • I've no idea what this is… Off to Google I guess.

  • +6

They also sell it on their ebay store. If you have ebay plus, you can get free shipping

    • +1

      Nice, works with PAPPY3.

      • Ah, I've got no eBay codes left to use! I can't believe PORCUPINE, PEANUT and PRANCE have all ended in the last few days, I would have finally had a use for them!

  • Wonder if the weight is in the sown pouches so its evenly spread or if the outside design is just for looks

    • +2

each square has glass beads in it so its fairly evenly distributed. the ones on the side tend to pool up at the edge away from the center if that makes sense, its more comfortable after they all settle

      • Are they noisy?

  • I didn't know anything about "weighted blankets" so I did some research and found this article.

    https://www.abc.net.au/life/do-weighted-blankets-really-work…

In summary - "Like all things for mental health, it is a personal thing. It might work for you"

Sounds like this could be a decent bargain for some folks out there?!

    • I don't know about their impact on mental health however they are good to lay under.

      In summary

      So no evidence.

Presumably it lowers the chance that the user will pull the cover off the bed in their sleep.

        @Diji1

Heavens, don't bring 'evidence' into the issue. You'll surely be negged.

  • Single is ideal for 20-35kg body weight
Double is ideal for 35-60kg body weight
Queen is ideal for 60-80kg body weight
King is ideal for 80-110kg body weight

So if you are 80-110kg but only have a single bed which do you buy?

    • you would buy the single one. The figures refer to the suggested weight of the blanket which makes sense as the weight is being distributed evenly and needs to cover more surface area

      • I think it's probably poorly written and you are right.

If you have a king bed your ideal weight for this blanket is 80-110kg so if you weigh out of that you need to buy a different one.

      • They all measure the same size, the sizing ‘single queen etc’ are based on the weight

        • Are you sure about this?

Under 'Dimensions' it shows different sizes:

          Dimensions

          Single: 91 x 122 cm
          Double: 104 x 152 cm
          Queen: 121 x 182 cm
          King: 152 x 203 cm

      Fold

  • tempted to buy this, do these work?? Can you wash these??

  • meh, ordered the queen one for $46

    • But what about shipping?

      • Sorry, $8.99 for shipping so total was $54.99

  • +1

I don't recommend the brand. Got some sheets and they are garbage

  • Another thing to buy, what for?

  • +2

Can't believe the blankets our relatives used to give us back in the old country is gaining popularity. Those things would crush you to near death! They weighted them with old shirts and such.

Im getting anxiety just thinking about it shudder

  • +1

would've thought that the feeling of being held down by something (ie this blanket) would generate anxiety, not alleviate it. Each to their own..

    • Apparently it's similar to being hugged, as a gross simplification anyway

  • wonder if this is available in store? Thinking of stopping by one near home.

  • eBay order just got cancelled…

    • I got half an order delivered, and then they cancelled the other half (after promising that they'd organise delivery of the remainder of the order).

  • Just got it in, the king dosent even cover a queen size mattress ……

    • Yeah I got the queen and it's tiny. More like a single. Weight is accurate though

  • Mine came without a seal on the box, and no pamphlet on how to care for it. The way it was packed didn't look like it was packed in factory too. Is this normal or did I get a returned product?
