nothing special, Just Casual Photography.
I'm mainly using the 24105mm F4 which is out of your price range. Ranzou has given good recommendations. The sony 85mm F1.8 is very good for portraits if that's your thing.
Make sure to buy the right lens for the camera. Lens designated FE (full frame) are best otherwise E (crop aps-c) will have reduced pixels but are still usable. The Sony full frame lens will have SEL in their product codes. Avoid ones that have SAL as these won't fit on the camera.
whats a lense?
If you like primes, I get a lot of use out of the 55mm f1.8 Sony. It's very sharp and can be picked up for ~$1000 with a bonus $100 gift card currently. Georges was the cheapest I could see, though be aware that they'll happily take your order even if they have no stock, so you could end up waiting. https://www.georges.com.au/sony-carl-zeiss-55mm-f1-8-lens.ht…
The Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 is also quite sharp throughout the range and though it's just over your budget, it's pretty good value at $1150. https://www.camerapro.com.au/tamron-28-75mm-f-2-8-di-iii-rxd…
Thanks
I would buy a couple of e mount 7artisans or kamlan lenses especially if you are casual / beginner
Imo getting 4 non full frame lenses to mess around for your $1000 is more fun and lets you do more and learn more while your picture quality will be lower if you are just uploading to facebook / instagram and stuff like that it wont really matter
nah none from me.
That is one hell of a camera for casual photography.
Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 di iii rxd is going to give you the most flexibility and utility for everyday casual shooting.
Thank you all for your suggestions. Bought Tamron 28-75 f2/8 from Camera House for $1149 today.
Good choice, that's a great lens.
