eBay Gift Card Refund Question

Hi, just wondering

if i bought an item with said 5 ebay gift cards, and if i get refunded, can i used these gift cards in another account, or are these gift cards tied to the account that did the original transaction, just not very sure about this, if anyone can help, thanks
