Booking Flights to US/Canada with Velocity Points

I've been planning for a trip to Vancouver in May 2020, departing mid-May. Have been checking reward J availability for a few weeks, and we haven't been quite to the available date , but in the days and weeks leading up to my desired date there have been plenty of reward seats available. All that changed on the weekend, with no reward J availability at all for BNE-YVR or BNE-YYC (Calgary) in the March, April or May. What would have suddenly changed? Would surprise me if all available seats were suddenly booked on the weekend…

    try clearing your browser cookies or use a VPN to check the award availability. The airline sites are notorious for bumping up the flight prices and award availability based on your interest in those flights.

    given you have to log on to see availability hard to see how I could co completely incognito, but I'll give that a go!

      no this was just a short term thing with one aircraft, unable to fly. Happens to all airlines. It's called life.

    if anyone is following, gave up and booked reward J to Paris and back from Milan instead….
