Is it ridiculous to look for EOFY sales on Mac Minis?

I'm in the market for a Mac Mini, but need to buy an i7 model with more RAM and storage than the base model (min 32gb RAM and 512gb). Am I likely to find a decent discount on this for end of financial year? Haven't found anything so far but keen to buy something before 30 June.

  • I’ve noticed Apple products are often excluded from sales. Don’t like your chances.

        It is Apple though.

        • BYO Keyboard and Mouse at that price.

          • @holdenmg: And monitor and that $1,000 monitor stand… gotta have all the Apple gadgets…

            • @pegaxs: I remember when a Monitor Stand was a Yellow Pages stack…

    • Yeah I saw that one - i'd settled for less RAM and less HD space for less money. But thanks for the link.

2TB flash storage though and 64GB of RAM. That’s why it’s that expensive. Also it isn’t too bad a price considering the form factor.

Yes I know you can probably build a cheaper windows machine but I challenge anyone to find a case that small.

Top of the line Intel NUC will be similar in size and performance.

        • You're unlikely to get the same performance from the disk system as far as I can tell. I -think- the apple ssds are especially fast.

Also: no 10gb ethernet. Most NUCs also don't do 64g ram.

But processor options are I think better in the top end NUCS (as well as being able to upgrade your ssd any time you like!

I just saw that JB Hi-Fi have 10% off Apple Mac, which includes the Mac Mini

    • Thanks - unfortunately I think this usually just means the base models (as opposed to a model with higher specs).

Oops; didn't read the OP. Sorry!

Apart from using discounted JB Hi-Fi gift cards, not sure how you'll be able to get a discount
