Hi guys/gals, looking for advice or info on current sound bars. My dad is looking to buy one but neither of us know too much about them. Price range would be $200-$500 I guess.
Any suggestions? Remarks?

I just purchased the new 2019 Samsung model yesterday from Bing Lee, seems good for its money so far, only owned it for 24 hours. Bing lee currently has it for $195, down from $299.
Yamaha YAS207 is excellent for the price. Got my set about 5 months ago and still going strong.
You can find it around 330-350 on ebay with coupon.

This is only a 2.1 setting. I didn't think 2.1 would be that good?
The unit produces excellent, clear output (I use one).
5.1 wasn't listed as a requirement, and your listed budget of $200-$500 most likely won't get you a decent 5.1 system, but I could be wrong.
Am a fan of the JBL Bar 5.1. Can either be used as one soundbar, or the two ends come off as bluetooth satellites giving you surround sound
