Purchased ab item off ebay it arrives but had some slight damage due to courier which if course was expensive.
Contacted seller through ebay and there website and ended up being contacted through there site.
Sent pics of some damage and some defects i noticed on other parts.
There offer was full refund and collect or 35% refund.
The damage is minimal but its there and so is a few defects.
It would cost them a bit to return 3 boxes and sent back east from wa.
They said full refund which includes shipping.
Obviously i paid less wuth 10% off code on ebay for item which excludes shipping and i purchased gift cards at discount to make it a better deal.
They obviously said i cant get a replacement either refund in total or rebate i noticed they stated full amount of refund they was paid but i paid less due to 10% off,they would not know this.
The rebate offered was 35% off but i noticed it was on item only not postage and have asked the question why % off item and not included postage so await reply.
My question is if i took up offer of rebate and asume its done through ebay will i be refunded the amount im offered? Or less due to having had 10% off?
I also paid most of the item with gift cards apart from $14 odd with paypal i believe they will go back as gift cards.
Im just trying to work out how much im paid back and how it works the amount stated i get or less 10%.
Hope this makes sense i feel item is worth keeping even though expensive and has minor issues as not be able to get another.

If you bought it for 10% off, with a code, then you get refunded the amount you paid, be that by cash or gift cards.
Simple
Lets say it's $10 normally, discount 10% off to $9. Now you can pay that $9 however you want with cash or gift cards or both, or magic beans, you'll still be refunded $9. Not $10.
