Have a few old jewellery pieces of 22K that are unusable so was looking at selling them. Any idea where to take them to in Sydney?
Any Recommended Places to Sell Old Broken Pieces of 22k Gold Jewellery in Sydney?

I thought they give you bad rates, just like changing money at the airport…
No doubt. But they are buying your old scummy gold jewellery with little resale value that is highly convenient and on the spot cash.
Tradeoffs….
Those pop-up gold buyer stands will give you about 70% of the intrinsic value of the piece. They prey on those that have no idea of the value of gold, etc.
Check on-line and you should find gold buyers that will give you at least 90% of the gold value.Sorry to hijack, but where would one get jewelry valued for insurance? Do jewelers value?
Yep, reputable jewelers will certainly be capable and will provide the valuation.
Like Michael Hill etc? Also do you know if there is a charge usually? Thanks
If the actual jeweler is in the shop, then I don't see why not. If it's just sales staff, then I doubt it. We had ours done by a local jeweler. I can't remember the actual price, but the costing was charged per item. Also, for pieces that were too low in value to insure, he didn't bother charging nor valuing. He was a very good bloke who was quite used to insurance valuations.
Any good jeweler is able to issue a valuation for insurance purposes, for a fee of course.
Insurance of jewellery is a rort. Say you insure a diamond ring for the valuation price of $10,000. If you lose the ring then you do not get a $10,000 payout, rather they will replace the ring, the true value of which is probably around $4-$5,000We're thinking of offloading it all anyway to be honest. We inherited but are not into jewelry at all. It's all high end stuff too, but we have no idea of the value. Any ideas on how to get the most for our jewelery if we sell it?
Your local shopping centre would surely have one of those 'Gold buyer' shops.
