      Unless it is a recognised store selling it, eg gamerholic, if a price is too good to be true on eBay, it is probably fake

      A quick read of their negative comments gives a clue

        While you are at it could you guarantee that the box won't arrive dented

        There are some horror stories on you eBay/ Facebook

        Have previously asked you about this, and you have been silent thusfar

          We have never ignored you.
          While i can't guarantee anything whether the box will be dented or not but we will work towards a resolution if the box does come dented.
          Various of factors come into play when we ship and that includes how many items you buy, the way the box is handled and the way it is left distributed via our courier.

              Just checked my game of 7 Wonders, it is made in Belgium. However all my expansions are made in China.
              Then I messaged my 2 friends who recently bought from Gameology and AdventGames, both said theirs printed in China.

              So had Asmodee/Repos move the production to China post-2010?
              I've seen their copies and it looks just like mine, even in terms of the quality!

              • @CuteChocobo: Okay, just got off the phone with Repos Production sales team and here is what I gathered.
                The easiest way to check is to see the "Run" at the back, next to "Ref: SEV-EN01".
                What I learnt is that print run 25 onward, the game production had relocated to China JiangXi.
                Therefore you will see "Run: CH2016R25" onward all to have the "CH" label that meant made in China, "R25" is the print run.
                I believe they are on their R29 at the moment, which was mass produced in 2017.

                  No disrespect to OP, but if I am spending $50 plus postage, I think it is reasonable to ask OP, the country of origin on the box, and also the Run no as CuteChocobo has mentioned (especially since OP's price is lower than the competition)

                  Hopefully will not ignore my query

                    I had my fair share of regrettable counterfeits from eBay and one surprising counterfeit from GamesWorld.
                    It sucks that our 'expensive' hobby is now saturated by these crappy counterfeits :(

                    Here is a side-by-side comparison of a genuine 7W and a counterfeit 7W (credit to u/thr33littlebirds from Reddit).
                    All I can say is that the counterfeit 7W colour are a lot darker and the resolutions on the cover is a bit more blurry.

      You can ask all the customers that we have and we don't sell counterfeit games.
      You will also have buyer protection if you check via paypal.

        perhaps if you had bothered to answer said questions three months ago, I might have been encouraged to spend

        this lack of mate on your FB page, there is a chap who has purchased something and not received it three months later, with no response from you to his queries
        your ebay page, has plenty of negs, related to dented items, and poor communication from your end

        the lack of communication from you does not fill me with a lot of confidence
        so yes $50 is a big sum for me, and if I am going to give it to you, the least I can expect is answers in a timely manner

        As Cutechocobo has mentioned above, as per the Repos sales, printing has been in China from runs 25 to 29 in the last few years
        Run 29 was late in 2017
        Would that make the game you are selling, printed in Belgium, old stock?
        Never mind, don't bother checking, as you have limited staff

        7 wonders is a game with many fake copies around. I think if I find a seller with a price much lower than the competition, I am well within my rights to check and see if it is too good to be true

        • Definitely you have all the right to ask however we also could take time to respond.
          I was not taking offense on anything, just justifying why we respond outside of your expectations.

          We don't know what we haven't responded to 3 months ago. It is possible that we might of missed it.
          All I can say is we been posting for the last 3 months and if we do sell fake copies then people would of pointed it out already which no one has.

          This is ozbargain where you expect to find bargains so this is why you expect a price much lower than competitions.

    good customer service is what we also look for
    and from your FB page and ebay page, there is feedback that customer service is not your priority (which I have called you out on multiple times, but you have chosen to continue ignoring)

    So if one places an order from your store, most times things will possibly go well
    If we run into trouble with an order (eg late delivery/ non delivery/ dented box), getting a reply from you is not easy, and so the customer is basically stuffed
    I'm not willing to take that gamble, just to save a couple of dollars

    I have had issues with delivery from Gamerholic in the past, due to Fastway being terrible couriers. They acknowledged Fastway are bad, but said that was who they used and they wouldn't change.
    Also their packaging is usually pretty light on, just a bubble wrap pouch, not often in a box as other game stores ship in to ensure parcels arrive in good condition.

    You guarantee delivery on a certain date, despite acknowledging your couriers are bad; yet you wont change them; but continue to guarantee delivery (going round in circles here)
