      • +4

        …you don't!

  • +2

Ordered when it was $129. solid quality except for the hanger part. it's a bit light and even often get dislocated, potential hazard to drop 15kg grill on your toe.
Better wait till it cools down and lifts using the side grips.

I had the BBQ Galore version of this. Nice in concept but heavy AF so not really as portable as it appears. I’d get something like a Weber Go Anywhere if you’re after portable grilling.

    • plus, as there’s no real edge on the grate… watch out for your snags going awol off the edge!

  • +1

Already bought a skillet pan from the deal yesterday.
Tempted to buy this but I wonder how often I’ll use this for bbq… being lazy.

  • Still available for me at $137. Why is it marked expired?

  • Showing as 17 new available at the advertised price($137.63), this hasn't expired as of 8:11pm AEST

    • How are you able to see stock levels?

    • +1

      That's 17 other sellers

  • eligible for the baby wishlist haha

    • -2

What the hell is the baby wishlist?

      • +1

A deal posted yesterday where you add 20 items to a baby wishlist on Amazon and spend $59 to get a free baby hamper worth $200.

  • Don't forget 8% cashback via shopback.

  • Can i sign up to prime then cancel?

    • Yes, if you haven't used your 1 month free trial. Cancel and forgot and enjoy :)

      • okay i got a few handy emails

      • how long is the delivery? going overseas tomorrow heading back end of the week do they leave at the door?

        • Yes they do. Which is amazing!!!

  • +1

    Must resist!

    • +1

I'm trying to, too! But it looks so damn cool.

  • +5

Have this. Pain in the arse to clean, season etc. though. Find I end up using the Weber kettle more.

    • Can you not get it hot enough to do a burn off? Can you elaborate?

      • +1

The grate which holds the charcoal is prone to rusting(doesn't affect performance). Other components are ok. Actual grilling surface is easy to clean when warm.

  • I was going to post this deal after seeing it last night. There's a great pizza pan as well, worth considering, and a square griddle. Thanks for posting.

    • +1

Don't worry, I purchased the Lodge 5 pack that you posted last night, as well as the griddle pan with silicone handle, and a cheap set of pan scrapers:

      So thank you too :)

You're welcome. I don't mind who posts, as long as people benefit. I've got about $1500 worth of Lodge items in my wish list and I'm eyeing my account balance after setting up my latest Term Deposit, so I'm being careful. It would be great to have long-lasting cookware that cooks food beautifully, though.

Decisions are not my strong point when Uni studies are weighing heavily, as they are right now…

        Anyway, enjoy :)

  • 14.5kg in weight

    Damn. bebes can't handle it.

  • Thanks! Ordered!

  • $278.30? - looks like it's expired

    • Still fine for me. Are you logged in?

      • Ohhhh, my bad. Thanks 🙂

  • you need a charcoal chimney or it will take a long time to get enough hot coals for a bbq.
ebay have japanese clay bbq for similar price, not sure which gives better results buy guess you can’t break cast iron.

How is it that Amazon can ship this 14.5 kg thing from the US for free, while if I order a board game weighing even 150gm in Australia, shipping is $10?

    • I'm not sure if its end of financial year over their or how that even works but maybe they have some way to get out of paying tax by writing shit off.

      • Wouldn't this always have free shipping with prime as it costs >$50

Or is there a weight threshold as well?

        • I haven't heard of a weight threshold so it should be. I'm guessing its cheap cause its currently on discount.

I own this from the last deal. I find this and invluable part of my camping equipment and I could not be with out it now I have it! It can be used to cook on, heat water and best of all as a "movable fire place", meaning I move it around, while my fire is still going. I use the sleeve of my jumper or fire mit over my hand for the hotish handle and move my fire around throughout the evening depending on wind direction. This is the best part about this set up for camping. I cannot recommend this product enough!!

    • Sounds very convincing to justify buying.

  • Hmm this or the Weber Go-Anywhere

It would be used for the odd charcoal meat night and camping as a campfire

    • There lodge grill is considered an heirloom. It'll outlast the other one twice over. Especially if it is for campfires as well because the webber has wooden handles rthat can catch fire. The lodge grill is nearly indestructible and people comment on mine continually when camping.

  • I can't see use 4 camping during summer given the fire bans. any idea about smoking levels in balcony? i don't want people complaining about my weekly spare ribs smoking their clothes !

    • +1

Can very easily be used to cook with, use heat beads on balcony. Maybe a fire would be a bit smokey initially until the heat builds up

  • Any recipe ideas to use on this?

    • +1

Chicken Tikka, Whole Snapper with some marination etc.
