The affected Apple MacBook Pros are the Retina 15-inch, mid-2015 model. They have a 15.4-inch (diagonal) display, 2.2-2.5 GHz processors, 256 GB-1 TB solid-state storage, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, two USB 3 ports, and one HDMI port.
The products were primarily sold between September 2015 and February 2017.
This recall does not affect other MacBook Pro models.

First check to see which 15-inch MacBook Pro you have. Choose ‘About This Mac’ from the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of your screen.
If your model is “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, mid 2015)”, visit the Battery Recall page and enter your computer’s serial number to see if it is included in this recall. If your MacBook Pro is included, stop using it and follow the instructions at the Recall page to have your battery replaced free of charge.
Not sure as I have not checked my sn but a few months back I had my 15” pro in Apple repair and the battery had swollen from over heating causing the case to become warped and no longer closed flat. They replaced and repaired it for free.
