Excellent game! Gave me nice Firefly space-western vibes.

If only the deal started on the 30th of June. Won't be immersive enough now.

Given it's free from June 28 to July 5, feel free to get it on June 30 and finish the game before midnight, then delete it - for the immersion.

      • I just wanted to make a cheesy joke, don't even have an Epic account.

Yes I agree. Epic itself is one of the biggest Trojan you could get. There is nothing really free unfortunately.

          • @Banjochocolate: Good thing they make big condoms - some people need them.

@Banjochocolate: I hate don't like Epic just as much the next guy, Tencent having a 40% stake in the company, them snooping around in Steam's files, the launcher being feature-less, all suck. But, you can't deny the fact that these free games are awesome, and at the end of the day most people just wanna play games…

So yeah, that's not my reasoning for not having an Epic account, I don't even have a Steam/Uplay/Origin/Battle.net account anymore but that's cause I'm taking a break from gaming.

The exclusivity deals suck though, can't defend them on that.

            • @[Deactivated]: I don't really mind the exclusives, you can still play it on the same hardware unlike console exclusives.

I really enjoyed this game. The main issue with it is that it’s too short but what is actually in the game is well made. Very sad story for a game that’s so bright and colourful; I wouldn’t recommend it for young kids.

Just finished the game yesterday. The frustrating thing for me was that it autosaves quite infrequently (especially in the first half of the game), and you can't save manually, so if you need to quit playing, you may need to replay parts.

However, it's a beautiful, sad, poignant game and was worth the $8 I got it on sale for. Enjoy it for free!

    • Yep, this is particularly a pain when children are playing the game and you are trying to limit their game usage. I think I wrote something to this effect on their steam forum page ages ago.

Ooh, I've been wanting to play this! Thanks OP.

Steven Wilson, the games composer, is one of the most talented, intelligent musicians working today. Absolutely beautiful tunes, hope the game does them justice.

    • +2

I didn't know Steven Wilson was involved! That's cool

I feel like "Steam" shouldn't be in the title, I keep getting tricked by not reading it carefully and thinking this is a game to get on Steam. It seems like information for the description.

Nice deal though, thanks for posting.

  • Says coming soon for me on the epic store
